LESSON PROPER:
DAY 1: MUSIC
A. How do we demonstrate the proper conducting gestures of 2 3 4 6

B. Today, we are going to identify when to start beating a song.
Play the game ball passing. Let the pupils form a big circle.
Explain the mechanics.
Ask: What have you noticed with the first measure of the song? Is
the number of beats/the value of notes in the first measure complete? How many
beat/s is/are there in the first measure?
C. Present the musical score of the song “Ang Dalagang Pilipina”.
Analyze the song. Is the first measure
complete? Should we start beating the first beat? Why?
D. Group Activity
Each group will perform the proper conducting gesture of “Harana
sa Bukid” and “Ang Dalagang Pilipina” emphasizing the first and the last beat.
(Take note, the first beat should have emphasis)
E. Provide the class with other songs with complete measures and
ask them to identify which one has complete measure, which is not.
F. Let the class show the conducting of incomplete and complete measure.
G. Let the class show the conducting of incomplete and complete measure.
